ABOUT MADAME COQUILLE

Welcome to my creative haven where Louisiana's rich culture and the beauty of nature come together in a unique and sustainable way. What started as a simple hobby has blossomed into a passionate business, fueled by my love for our state & its vibrant culture.

My Story
My journey began with a simple idea: to turn discarded Louisiana oyster shells into art that captures the essence of our vibrant culture. Louisiana, with its Cajun and Creole influences, is a melting pot of traditions, flavors, and stories. I wanted to channel this richness into my artwork and simultaneously tackle environmental challenges by upcycling waste materials.

The Oyster Shell Difference
At the heart of my work lies the humble oyster shell, once considered waste but now a beautiful canvas for my creativity. Each shell carries a piece of Louisiana's history and contributes to its future. I meticulously collect, clean, and repurpose these shells into stunning pieces of art that pay homage to the state's unique heritage.

My Mission
My mission is twofold: to celebrate and showcase the beauty of Louisiana's culture and environment, and to promote sustainable practices that support local communities. I believe that art has the power to tell stories, preserve traditions, and inspire change.
